Targeting A Dangerous Cancer Hormone-hCG
Products

The company plans to develop a range of complementary anti-hCG therapeutic products for cancer.

CG201, the anti-hCG vaccine. CG201 is the company’s lead product in late stage development for treating solid tumor cancers. CG201 inoculations target hCG-producing tumors by stimulating patients’ immune systems to produce antibodies that eliminate hCG. This product is the result of a 20 year, multi-organizational effort with a $30 million investment.  Two new, randomized Phase 2 trials are scheduled for 2008 in patients with advanced non small cell lung cancer and colorectal cancer to confirm positive results from earlier colorectal and pancreatic cancer Phase 2 trials.

In the future, the company plans to study CG201’s effectiveness in additional Phase 2 trials with solid tumor cancers such as ovarian, prostate, pancreatic and breast. Other plans include studying co-therapy applications of CG201 with chemotherapeutic agents, monoclonal antibodies against hCG and developing further improvements to the vaccine itself.

Anti-hCG monoclonal antibodies. CGT plans to develop or in-license anti-hCG human monoclonal antibodies with unique properties for use in treating cancer, particularly in combination with CG201.

Other therapies. CGT has an interest in exploring the clinical applications of other anti-hCG approaches including combination therapies using its anti-hCG products in combination with other experimental or established cancer therapeutic agents.
